Bio:
Generations ago, there was a man by the name of Hin. He was a proud man. Gentle and Kind, he helped anyone who was in need. He Resided in a village up in the mountains, and gazed at the stars every night, Wishing he could do more for those he could not help. A shooting star ran across the sky, and he was met with a Luminous woman who gave him a small task.
"Watch over the stars from this mountain side, and no harm shall come to this village."
The Man Agreed, and the woman gave him a crook to keep the stars in line, pushing stragglers over the mountain when the dawn rises.
Many Months pass, and he watched over the sky, happy. no harm has come to his village, as he has kept his promise. One night, on a new moon, a dragon came flying over the mountain. The dragon landed right in front of hin, with sadness in its eyes.
"Sir, i am sorry to trouble you on this night, but i am starving, and i wish to eat. may i have a star please?" asked the dragon
"i am sorry." Hin Replied, "These stars protect my village, i cannot give you one." The Dragon looked up, sighed and flew off.
On the next new moon, Hin was looking at the night sky and once again, a dragon flew over the mountains and landed in front of Hin.
"I am sorry that i asked for a star" The dragon said, sorrowfully, " But i am still hungry, May i have something to eat?"
Hin looked at the dragon, and said "there is a market, at the base of this mountain. you can purchase all the fish and fruits you want down there." The Dragon Looked Down, Sighed and flew off."
On the next new moon, The Dragon appeared once again "The Market did not have what i am hungry for. only you can help me."
Hin Replied "What are you hungry for then? I cannot give you a star."
The Dragon snorted. "I hunger for the star yes, but if you cannot give me the star, i will eat your village!", the Dragon flew off, leaving Hin there.
Hin thought about what to do. the woman said that as long as i watch over the skies, no harm will come of the village. The New moon came, and the dragon landed in front of Hin
"Give me a star." He demanded.
"if it means protecting my people, i will." Hin grabbed his crook and reached up into the sky, grabbing the closest star. he pulled it down and held it in his hand. The star was warm to the touch and pulsed with light.
Hin handed the dragon the Star, which the dragon ate. The Dragon smiled and said "Thank you" and he flew up into the sky. He did not leave, and hovered for a few seconds. brightness was emanating from the dragons mouth and flames erupted from within. the dragon flew over the village, breathing flames across everything. all Hin could do was watch. He fell to his knees when the last house collapsed. a hand reached onto his shoulder. it was the luminous woman.
"I was a fool i could trust you with this task." was all she said, as she walked away. Hin gathered what he could, a small memento of what he could to remember those that had died because of him, and left. No star would lead his path, and it remained dark.
Sleepless nights, vivid nightmares and haunting sounds of the event was all he could hear. everything reminded him of what he has done. he climbed up the tallest moutain and screamed
"I Wish to repent for what i have done! I wish to seek a way to return the star to where it belongs, i wish to see the spirits of those lost, guided to a new life! I wish for happiness once more!"
A woman stood before him. a hand out reached, lantern in arms.
"if you wish to seek forgiveness, take this lantern and travel the lands. stars offer hope to those who look for them, so gather hope and keep this lantern lit."

Amatsu closed her journal and placed down her pen. She looked up to the bright sky and grabbed her crook. Tied to the end, was a single lantern.
"Come, Hiro" as she held her hand outstretched, a tiny fox crawled up her sleeves and poked his head out her collar.
"there is a village nearby, grandfather was unable to finish his task. it is up to us now."
they departed.

Amatsu is Hin's granddaughter, who is carrying out his legacy. She's kind and sweet, but does not come from a big city. she travelled all her life so she has a wanderer mindset. I loosely based her off Ang from avatar, the last airbender, mei-lei from dragon ball, and Chinese folktales.
