<Character Sheet>
Ideal: Glory- Idolizes his tribe, and seeks to gain favor or renown so as to best reflect on them.
Bond: Family- Zhu considers his tribe and his clan to be before all other considerations. He's as dogmatic as any zealot in his devotion to them, and returns any insults levied at his heritage or himself with great fury.
Flaw: Pride- Zhu considers his family in such great esteem he loathes to appear as a normal human. He readily traipses about in his full porcine glory, and almost seems to relish the looks it may garner him. He never goes anywhere without his displays, which might garner some very bad attention...

Bio:
CRUNCH. The bones in his ribcage gave a feeble protestation.... SNAP! Next, his shoulder and the surrounding bones gave a resounding resignation from their purpose. His arm fell useless. THUD. There was no time... no where to go... no where to hide... he had to stay. Had to fight. It was either this, or die. THUD. He was getting closer... coming up on him once more. Zhu stumbled to his feet, and threw his weight against the opposing rageborn to the best of his ability, cracked ribs, and dislocated shoulder protesting every move he made. Next... blackness. There was no victory in this. No tribulation. No exalted story of odds overcome. Zhu woke up with the knowledge of his failure beaten into him with the several hoofprints and broken bones, or swollen joints that bedecked his frame. He grunted, got up, and stumbled about the camp...
Zhu awoke with a start, remembering feverishly the day of his proving. He'd been beaten badly, barely left alive... but he'd gotten up and tried to move forward. A few days passed, and he was called by his clan elders. They presented him with a choice... and a task. He could bear the weight of his family's most precious sign of honor, and work to add to it, or he could stay and largess in ignominy. Zhu was far too eager to accept the elder's offer. With so much status how could he not? These days he thinks back on that moment with a apprehensive feeling. If he had lost, why had he been chosen? What about this task was so bad that more deserving of his brethren had turned this down? At times in the night Zhu feels uneasy... but puts his head down and gets back to work. There's glory to be had, fame to be garnered, a world to impact. Zhu has no idea what he's doing, but he's damn sure determined to trample whatever stops him. "Glory to my ancestors... may I live up to the glory I wear."

I've always enjoyed the more tribal/visceral sorts of characters, so admittedly this is a bit of a comfort pick! The idea interested me mostly because while boars outside of a Chinese mythos are relatively looked down upon, or disregarded as brutish blunt, or outright shunned, a character who presents a more porcine nature might get a different sort of reception in a primarily Chinese setting. He's meant to be relatively blunt, direct, and concerned with personal growth for himself to better reflect on his tribe. He feels a lot of familial obligation, and isn't outside of collaboration and isn't unapproachable, simply driven.
