"The owner of a dull knife is a dull person! A dull knife has no place in a kitchen, just like a dull person has no place cooking! Kogo wants sharp knives, and sharp minds!"
❦ Kogo Teru ❦
{Unchained Rogue 4}
{Created on 10/20/2017}
❦ Biography ❦
Kogo is a 4'5" tall Catfolk male which dark brown fur that darkens around the center of his face, hands, and feet. His eyes are a metallic silver color, his pupils being rather large dark slits in his eyes. He has ears that are perky, and a medium-length tail that is striped from his lighter tone of dark brown to his darker tone of dark brown. He speaks in a strange manner, referring to himself in third person - making it rather obvious that Tien and Taldane were not one of his first languages. He is a spunky, punctual, ambitious, and zealous Catfolk which a dream to be one of the best chefs known through the entire continent of Tian Xia, if not just simply the best. Kogo has a strong passion for cooking that has been prevalent even throughout the very early years of his life, and he will stop at nothing to be one of the best - making him difficult to please in regards to cooking.
Kogo was once from Goka - where he worked in a lodge as an apprentice chef. The head chef of the lodge, and mostly the only other chef was a chef who had came from the Western continent - and taught Kogo the skills and techniques that were used to cook. Kogo had a large amount of respect for his mentor - in fact, they were even friends. They shared stories about their life together, and Kogo had learned that his mentor had wanted to travel and learn multiple recipes from various parts of the continent - which is why his mentor came to Tian Xia in the first place. However his mentor fell to an illness that soon took her life, so Kogo made his mentor's aspiration as his own, carrying on his mentor's torch in her honor and for his own ambitions. The inn had shut down, and Kogo took this as an opportunity to move on and travel to another place in Tian Xia. He had heard of the city of Tiancheng and decided that he wanted to assist in the city's progress and make himself a name there in the process. ❦ OOC ❦

❦ Training Log ❦ {01/04/2017}
{Unchained Rogue 4} ❧ Race: Catfolk ❧ Racial Type: Humanoid ❧ Racial Speed: 30 feet ❧ Racial Size: Medium ❧ Racial feature - Cat's Luck (Ex): Once per day when a catfolk makes a Reflex saving throw, he can roll the saving throw twice and take the better result. He must decide to use this ability before the saving throw is attempted. ❧ Racial feature - Natural Hunter: Catfolk receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception, Stealth, and Survival checks. ❧ Racial feature - Climber: Catfolk hunters excel at hunting prey from trees and other high vantage points. Catfolk with this racial trait possess a climb speed of 20 feet (along with the +8 racial bonus on Climb checks a climb speed affords). ❧ Racial feature - Low-light Vision: Characters with low-light vision have eyes that are so sensitive to light that they can see twice as far as normal in dim light. Low-light vision is color vision. Characters with low-light vision can see outdoors on a moonlit night as well as they can during the day. ❧ Trait - Inspired (Faith): Once per day as a free action, roll twice and take the better result on a skill check or ability check.. ❧ Trait - Mentored (Social): Choose a single Craft, Perform, or Profession skill (Profession - Cook). You gain a +1 trait bonus on checks with that skill. You also gain a +1 trait bonus when you aid another‘s skill check with any skill. ❧ Favored Class: Unchained Rogue ❧ Ability Score Increase: +1 Wis
❧ Class: Unchained Rogue
❧ Favored Class Bonus: +4 HP
❧ Class Feature - Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Rogues are proficient with all simple weapons, plus the hand crossbow, rapier, sap, shortbow, and short sword. They are proficient with light armor, but not with shields.
❧ Class Feature - Sneak Attack (+2d6): If a rogue can catch an opponent when he is unable to defend himself effectively from her attack, she can strike a vital spot for extra damage. The rogue’s attack deals extra damage anytime her target would be denied a Dexterity bonus to AC (whether the target actually has a Dexterity bonus or not), or when the rogue flanks her target. This extra damage is 1d6 at 1st level, and increases by 1d6 every two rogue levels thereafter. Should the rogue score a critical hit with a sneak attack, this extra damage is not multiplied. Ranged attacks can count as sneak attacks only if the target is within 30 feet. The rogue must be able to see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot and must be able to reach such a spot. A rogue cannot sneak attack while striking a creature with concealment.
❧ Class Feature - Trapfinding: A rogue adds 1/2 her level to Perception skill checks made to locate traps and to Disable Device skill checks (minimum +1). A rogue can use Disable Device to disarm magic traps.
❧ Class Feature - Finesse Training: Shortswords (Ex): At 1st level, a rogue gains Weapon Finesse as a bonus feat. In addition, starting at 3rd level, she can select any one type of weapon that can be used with Weapon Finesse (such as rapiers or daggers). Once this choice is made, it cannot be changed. Whenever she makes a successful melee attack with the selected weapon, she adds her Dexterity modifier instead of her Strength modifier to the damage roll. If any effect would prevent the rogue from adding her Strength modifier to the damage roll, she does not add her Dexterity modifier. The rogue can select a second weapon at 11th level and a third at 19th level.
❧ Class Feature - Evasion (Ex): A rogue can avoid even magical and unusual attacks with great agility. If she makes a successful Reflex saving throw against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save, she instead takes no damage. Evasion can be used only if the rogue is wearing light armor or no armor. A helpless rogue does not gain the benefit of evasion.
❧ Class Feature - Rogue Talents: As a rogue gains experience, she learns a number of talents that aid her and confound her foes. Starting at 2nd level, a rogue gains one rogue talent. She gains an additional rogue talent for every 2 levels of rogue attained after 2nd level. A rogue cannot select an individual talent more than once.
❧ Rogue Talent - Combat Trick: A rogue that selects this talent gains a bonus combat feat.
❧ Rogue Talent - Resiliency (Ex): Once per day, a rogue with this ability can gain a number of temporary hit points equal to twice her rogue level. Activating this ability is an immediate action that can be performed only when the rogue is brought to below 0 hit points. This ability can be used to prevent the rogue from dying. These temporary hit points last for 1 minute. If the rogue’s hit points drop below 0 due to the loss of these temporary hit points, she falls unconscious and is dying as normal.
❧ Class Feature - Danger Sense (Ex): At 3rd level, a rogue gains a +1 bonus on Reflex saves to avoid traps and a +1 dodge bonus to AC against attacks made by traps. In addition, she gains a +1 bonus on Perception checks to avoid being surprised by a foe. These bonuses increase by 1 every 3 rogue levels thereafter (to a maximum of +6 at 18th level). This ability counts as trap sense for the purpose of any feat or class prerequisite, and can be replaced by any archetype class feature that replaces trap sense. The bonuses gained from this ability stack with those gained from trap sense (from another class).
❧ Class Feature - Debilitating Injury (Ex): At 4th level, whenever a rogue deals sneak attack damage to a foe, she can also debilitate the target of her attack, causing it to take a penalty for 1 round. The rogue can choose to apply any one of the following penalties when the damage is dealt. These penalties do not stack with themselves, but additional attacks that deal sneak attack damage extend the duration by 1 round. A creature cannot suffer from more than one penalty from this ability at a time. If a new penalty is applied, the old penalty immediately ends. Any form of healing applied to a target suffering from one of these penalties also removes the penalty.
❧ Bewildered: The target becomes bewildered, taking a –2 penalty to AC. The target takes an additional –2 penalty to AC against all attacks made by the rogue. At 10th level and 16th level, the penalty to AC against attacks made by the rogue increases by –2 (to a total maximum of –8).
❧ Disoriented: The target takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls. In addition, the target takes an additional –2 penalty on all attack rolls it makes against the rogue. At 10th level and 16th level, the penalty on attack rolls made against the rogue increases by –2 (to a total maximum of –8).
❧ Hampered: All of the target’s speeds are reduced by half (to a minimum of 5 feet). In addition, the target cannot take a 5-foot step.
❧ Uncanny Dodge (Ex): At 4th level, a rogue can react to danger before her senses would normally allow her to do so. She cannot be caught flat-footed, nor does she lose her Dexterity bonus to AC if the attacker is invisible. She still loses her Dexterity bonus to AC if immobilized. A rogue with this ability can still lose her Dexterity bonus to AC if an opponent successfully uses the feint action against her.
❧ Bonus Class Feat - Weapon Finesse: With a light weapon, elven curve blade, rapier, whip, or spiked chain made for a creature of your size category, you may use your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier on attack rolls. If you carry a shield, its armor check penalty applies to your attack rolls.
❧ 1st Level Feat - Two-Weapon Fighting (Combat): Your penalties on attack rolls for fighting with two weapons are reduced. The penalty for your primary hand lessens by 2 and the one for your off hand lessens by 6.
❧ Bonus Feat (Combat Trick) - Combat Reflexes (Combat): You may make a number of additional attacks of opportunity per round equal to your Dexterity bonus. With this feat, you may also make attacks of opportunity while flat-footed. The Combat Reflexes feat does not allow a rogue to use her opportunist ability more than once per round.
❧ 3rd Level Feat - Improved Initiative (Combat): You get a +4 bonus on initiative checks.
❧ Skill Rank - Acrobatics: +4
❧ Skill Rank - Appraise: +1
❧ Skill Rank - Bluff: +1
❧ Skill Rank - Climb: +1
❧ Skill Rank - Diplomacy: +1
❧ Skill Rank - Disable Device: +4
❧ Skill Rank - Escape Artist: +4
❧ Skill Rank - Intimidate: +1
❧ Skill Rank - Knowledge (Local): +4
❧ Skill Rank - Perception: +4
