Bio
- After replacing his aging father as a Auxiliary Calvary for the Legio V Byzantia at the age of 17, it had not gone well for the young cavalier. Being a soldier for a failing empire is either you lose a battle and live another day, or you lose the battle along with your life as well. It had been the former for Dalmatius, surviving through lost battle after lost battle, with the help from his trusty (well, most of the time trusty) steed, Bucephalus. But all is lost when one day, he returned from a rare successful campaign, only to find his father's villa in flames, and the capital city under siege. With his unit, they tried, albeit unsuccessfully, to drive the invaders off, and are once again, unsuccessful. The Legio V Byzantia was routed at the end, along with Dalmatius, losing everything.
Before Current Age
- Not wanting to be captured, Dalmatius (along with his horse friend) split away from their after routing. Since then, he had been cautious towards other humans, since the bounty on any cavalryman were quite high. He did do a few odd jobs though, serving as a mercenary at times on a weekly contract, or just a simple caravan guard, also on a weekly contract. But with rare human contact, he had been talking a lot with his horse, and his horse would reply (he thinks). So, for the past year or so, that was his life, serving merchants and lowly barons, moving jobs constantly, travelling along side Bucephalus.
Currently
- 2 years after the incident, in one of his jobs, the caravan stopped at the city. Realising he was already far from his homeland, he let out a sigh of relief, that possibly, no one would notice him. He figured that he could live here and start anew, he was young, and so was his horse (He had grown quite attached to the four legged mount). With that, he waved goodbye to the rest of the caravan guards and made his way to the city.
OCC (incase I need to know why I did this)
- Dear me, yes you, this is your 2nd attempt at a character so don't presume he'll be great or anything. You modeled him after cataphracts from the late Eastern Roman Empire ya, being neutral and all should be okay, leaning in a grey area most likely. The reason, future me, that I did this is for mostly just a enjoyable time with mates
