Akane was born in the forest of spirits in the Northern reaches of Tian Xia. She was spirited away by a group of fey posing as Kami, and had introduced the girl to the First World, where she came into contact with a multitude of fey creatures. She eventually managed to find her way back with the help of some kind-hearted fey, but the event left her revering a certain member of the Eldest, namely Magdh. Akane was rather jealous of Magdh's power over fate, and aspired to peer into the future much like the Eldest she has come to worship. It wasn't long before the girl decided to travel the lands to find ways to do exactly that. She left the village and headed towards the south, eager to learn more about magic, especially of the divination school.
