Lokhaz, Chosen of Bokrug

    At first, Lokhaz was nothing more than a seer for his small village in the Valashmai Jungles. He gave messages from Bokrug, of course, and life was simple. Then one day, the village had been visited by a noble Bard who told them tales of virtuous heroes and horrific villains who fought long and hard for the stakes both world-spanning and intimately personal. The Bard amazed the tribe, especially Lokhaz. In the following nights, however, he received dreams from his god... Dreams of a stagnant grey swamp that stunk of mildewed bodies that shuffled listlessly across the void of nothing. The seer then sought to ease himself by recalling the Bard's epics, then an epiphany struck him! The tales of heroes and villains are what keeps things from being still; a villain causes a ruckus, and then a hero or several come up afterward to end the threat. Repeat ad infinitum, and the two sides would remain necessary to existence. And all of them, good and evil, are lauded in these tales long since after their time of life. Immortality with minimal muddling with outsiders or magic! Inspired, he told his tribe he'd be gone on a mission to gain power to free Bokrug (in reality, it's something to pursue on the side) and he named his successor. In doing so, he lost his seer's gift and curse, giving it to the next in line instead.
    Now he seeks to become a visage of evil and wrath since the tales rarely if ever started with the heroes arriving before the villains, though not without some showmanship as the tales he heard display. For now, he's nothing more than just some village bumpkin, who once had visions once in a while from a wrathful but trapped god, seeking glory and fame by being repugnant and vile. But in time, perhaps he can become a legend of his own.
