"I have two mothers and a father. Strange, some call it, but it's all I've ever known."
"Really, now, don't injure yourself too badly chasing some nobody like me, we both know I didn't actually commit any crime."
"Honor? Bah, feed your honor to the worms, I'll take staying alive. You don't need honor to be a good person, but being alive does help. A lot."
Mirai
"Human", Unchained Rogue (Sylvan Trickster) 1
Picture and Roll20 Token (Well her hair would be darker black, with her being being a japanese/Minkaian child... for the most part... but everything else works IMO. Yes including the blue eyes.)
Description and Bio:
Mirai is an odd sight. For the most part, she looks like a normal daughter of a Minkaian middle-class family though her attire is a bit more expensive than one would expect for that... However, her eyes are a piercing blue, and there's a long, wicked sharp blade hanging off one hip. Her facial features are somewhat plain, but still cute enough to be attractive when she smiles the right way... Which is something she has rather a natural talent for. Her build is slender, but still surprisingly well toned for a girl her age, and she walks with an impressive grace and presence for someone her age. Under the cloak, she generally wears somewhat revealing casual clothing, definitely emphasising comfort over all else, with visual appeal in a close second. She wears this even in cold winters, seemingly unconcerned by the temperature, though she does still tend to be drawn closer to fireplaces and the like. Similarly, her armour is a set of leather which is dyed and cut to also look aesthetically pleasing, and avoid any discomfort.
She typically dresses in deep blues with white accents, and despite being a wandering traveller, these clothes seem impeccably clean.
In combat she's cocky and playful, dancing around like a leaf in the wind, always looking for new angles to pop in from, for a clean hit, and then back away.
In calmer situations, however, she can sometimes seem reserved and polite, while at others she keeps the brash and overly friendly approach. Some have noticed a trend of the people she's more respectful towards being of a higher status than her, but while this is mostly true, there are plenty of seeming exceptions in both directions.

OOC Knowledge (At least, OOC to other players, not her. It's mostly backstory she does know, but with a few secrets.)
Her mother was barren, and originally, her parents seemed to those around them to be content to just live it out like this... But one day, a passing spirit, a nymph of snow and winter, torn by the desires to be alone, but also to create close bonds with other living beings, changed everything. In this relatively solitary couple, she saw the truth of how much this pained them, and there, she saw a chance to create a lasting bond without the need to constaintly maintain it herself. To enjoy the warmpth when she longed for it, but still be able to fade into the cold.
At first, all was well. The child was born, the family was happy, and the snow spirit could come and go as she pleased. The quartet were a happy family, the fae parent usually not present except for random days during the winter, but when she did come by, it was with awesome tales from around the world, so they all bonded decently well, all things considered.
But, the spirit doesn't truly understand humanity, how random and how cruel children can be in particular. Mirai, named for the future her parents thought was lost to them, as she grew older, often returned home after attempts to play with the other children in tears. Mild bullying like this faded eventually, but it'd left a tiny fragment of resentment that boded ill for the future.
At age 11, Mirai enrolled in the miliatary, trying to help bolster her family's finances and repay their kindness. This sphere, with people judged only on their merit, was still a massive boon to Mirai, and subconciously she enjoyed such a human role in life... but such good times were not fated to last.
After a brutally harsh winter in the city she'd travelled to in order to train, the true effects of her fae mother's marking began to manifest. Frost coating her weapon when she was pressured during training, that was the most noticeable one.
Most of her fellow trainees were fine with it and tried to stand by her, but the superstition of the city-folk eventually won out and she was driven into exile.
So, now on the mainland, she travels, practising to catch up for the spear training she neglected whilst using her swordsmanship skills to defend herself, and her hobby of dancing has now become the only way she has to earn enough coin to survive.
