Downtime Instructions
General
- Remember that one day in real time is one day in-game.
- Characters in the process of retraining archetypes may not participate in encounters.
- Characters in special and extensive craft projects that involve continuous attendance (example: Growing a fungal graft) may not participate in encounters.
- Characters who are under long term or permanent conditions that would prevent them from performing their intended downtime are unable to do so.
- Each day renews at midnight Pacific Standard/Daylight Savings Time.

Gold income
When using downtime to acquire gold you may use profession, perform, or craft skill. You will use the following equation:Skill Check x (Character level X Character Level)
You may no longer use Downtime to gain gold once you are at or above 125% of your current lvls WBL.

Retraining
- All retraining is done per www.d20pfsrd.com/basics-ability-scores/more-character-options/retraining/
- This includes the favored class bonus, the feats gained, optional class features chosen, as well as the skill points distributed on said level. Aforementioned features of the character are all retrained in this manner.
- If a character is retraining a class they have levels in into a different archetype, combination of archetypes, or to remove any archetypes, they must continuously do so until all levels of said class have been altered in such a manner.Crafting
- Crafting is back in Tian Xia! After review we felt the game would not feel as immersive without the addition of the crafting system. As such we have decided to lift the ban on the crafting of mundane or magical items.
- Crafting may only be done in downtime, but each use of downtime counts as eight (8) hours of work. For the crafting of mundane items, we will be using the unchained crating rules, also known as alternative crafting rules. They can be found in the link below.
Gaining Capital
Same as RAW, but due to the current condition of the city costs are increased by a multitude of 5 to purchase. Capital earned from work remains the same as RAWCapital | Purchased Cost | Earned Cost |

Constructing Buildings
The time to build = (total time per room), as in they built one room at a time. Time can be divided by 2, 3, or 4 times if you multiply labor by the same number (i.e pay 2 times the labor for half the time to build). The using downtime activity represents recruiting labor and purchasing the capital needed to start construction. Once all capital is added to the site, the player can either use downtime to supervise or hire a foreman with a wage of 4 gp a day (in one lump sum).
Current City Size: Large City (50 capital spending limit for all but magic) Rules

Construction Magic such as wall of stone, fabricate, and lyre of building are to be used as the follow:
- Lyre of building: Per successful hour of playing, add 30 Labor and 6 days of work (15 Labor and 3 days per 30 minutes). Up to 8 hours without needing magical sources to delay rest once per week. Cannot be used again until next week if a roll fails.
- Wall of stone adds CL/2 in goods per casting. Unless building a 100% stone building, wall of stone cannot be used for more than 3/4th of the cost in goods.
- Fabricate adds CL*10 in Labor and CL*2.5 in time towards completion per casting.
- 1 hour or casting of a spell per room/whole building. Excess labor and time is lost.
Buildings and the amount of capital they can generate must be tracked in the assets section of the character thread.
Running a Business
- The same as RAW, but income is not divided by 10.
