Bio:
Kiara Alruini was born on the continent of Arcadia where she lived a fairly peaceful life in a quiet and small tiefling community. While small, the community did have access and knowledge to the world outside their own as the people there were settlers on the land. While at times it was a little rough and modest, growing up the young tiefling was still fairly well educated and managed to live a decent life with her family and the others who made their lives there. It wasn't very diverse, race wise but tieflings as they were came in so many sizes, shapes, and colors that it somehow didn't matter. What really mattered was that the people there were friendly and affable group and life was peaceful. So the community as it steadily was a fairly pleasant for the environment for the tiefling to live and grow.
From a young age, the little tiefling, Kiara, was always dazzled by the prettier things in life. She would pester her parents for as many glamorous things as they could find and they certainly spoiled their little girl and only child. Mostly shiny gaudy trinkets, colorful feathers and flowers and for years her collection of the these pretty baubles steadily grew. Many of these pretty things adorned her slowly growing horns and hair, which back then the young girl didn't give these additions to her body a second thought. Since the population was so diverse, these weren't special. Being different from your neighbor and accepting thing was a normal thought back home. Such was the case for her in regards to others of her race! For tieflings she never thought much of it, but it made all the difference when new people started to visit the lands. And with them...
A gift that before none came too special came into her possession...something she'd cherish since that day.

Being one of the few lively settlements across the continent, adventurers would occasionally pass through the town, looking to trade, rest, or food. Many of them only took brief visits through the tiefling town, yet one particular visitor caught her eye on a visit to the marketplace. An aasimar, who'd visited recently, and while she only saw them in passing, the tiefling's curiosity was instantly piqued. Living in a town of the demon-blooded, the inherent evil strangeness that was natural to her, they stood out more than others. The aasimar lingered unlike many of the adventurers, and eventually came to settle there. Oddly as time passed, more and more celestials came to settle, creating an odd mix of demonic, devilish and celestial mixed together. This shifting culture didn't bother Kiara at all, in fact she was enamored with them, not attraction but but their beautiful visages and different...feeling she felt from them. Yet the first of them was special. She stuck close to them, asking many questions about their adventures, where they'd been, where they'd gone! Somehow just hearing it from these angelic beings made it even more special than if another tiefling had told the same tale. As she grew, listening to the stories of the few aasimar around her, when the time came when was she finally able to travel a little on her own, she finally ventured forth, not as an adventurer but as a traveler.
It was during this time that the tiefling experienced her first bout of culture shock. Growing up where she was had shielded her from the rather unsavory reactions of the general populous towards tiefling. Shocked and a bit confused, it was also at this time that she witnessed not the aasimar who inspired her but another in her ventures. It was all too apparent the immense difference of perception of their people from them. The difference between how she and they were treated...the tiefling couldn't completely fathom what it was about her and them that caused the people to treat her so differently. She coveted the treatment of those aasimar, but still young, the tiefling sought the easiest solution she had at that time. What made her different? What made them so loved? Thinking and thinking...she was no fool, but still naive she came to this conclusion.
She was too monstrous...too ugly unlike those beautiful beings that she adored.
Beauty was goodness.
And she had to make herself more beautiful to be accepted and loved by everyone. She owed it to the world and to herself, and to them that inspired her. It was only a coincidence that both that aasimar, and the one who settled back in her hometown had both trained to be magi. Shallow as it was, it motivated her to take up her class and ever since then, she became interested in furthering her skills and beautifying herself as much as possible.

Still shy and softspoken, she doesn't believe in theatrics but tries to maintain herself as a solemn quiet beauty. The tiefling doesn't quite seek the company others and finds herself comforted in front of her mirror. With her long beautiful white fluffy hair, soft blue eyes and dark supple skin, she was in no way as ugly as she perceived herself to be and as she grew people responded. Any compliment, any passing look, any regarded appreciation of her appearance, brought some glee to her heart and further motivated her. The scorn lessened and the appreciation grew as she groomed and groomed herself as a delicate beauty.
And...surprisingly nothing in her life had ever proven her wrong or challenged this viewpoint or ideology she had set in her head from a young age nor Kiara's inner self loathing about her race. She fantasizes and idolizes celestials but her interest is still shallow at best. With her focus mostly on looks more than anything, and for the mose part she can keep these tendencies off the battlefield, it's her driving force for most of life. Kiara wants to look good, almost always. If there's anything to note, then at least she's no attention hog. She is however passionate and steadfast with her ideals and immensely stubborn about getting what she wants.
In addition to the above...anything that contradicts her views...well she tends to adopt: I take your reality and substitute my own, stance. Beauty is goodness and when it's not that then that thing clearly doesn't exist!
