Bio
The youngest son of 6, born to a noble house his life's duty was always to marry to the advantage of the house and to stay out of the way of his older brothers. As he got older he began to "enjoy" the perks of a noble household such as bedding the maids and drinking till dawn and sleeping till dusk. As he got older he began to get into darker things and became more callous and uncaring to the world. To his family he was nothing but an embarrassment to be shunned and sidelined. His marriage prospects grew dim and his worth to his family grew less and less by the day until he was finally carted off to a country estate where he could revel in his debauchery to his hearts content. Unfortunately for him this was not to last long. Illicit items of the most damned nature where found in one of his family's caravans and several of their warehouses and most damning of all in the main family home. The entire family except for him was rounded up. The fates of the rest of his family unknown to the servant who rode swiftly to the estate he was on. He return to the capital arriving in time to see the trial from the back of the town square. The title stripped from his family, lands and holdings sized and his family beheaded. A large price was placed on his head as the last remaining member of his family. He left the city a broken man as many of the items found in the family home belonged to him or the servants he hired to acquire them. With nowhere left to go and being a debutante he prepared to take his life, the cowards way out with a bottle of poison. When a man sat down next to him on the hillside. The man looked at him and said
"I know what you have done, and what you have become. If the dark abyss is what you seek merely drink that bottle and soon you will be there. If you wish to make things right, seek atonement for all your sins then follow me."
The man then got up and walked away not looking back. He then stood up, swore and threw the bottle shattering it against the ground and began to follow the man. They walked for days, blisters formed, burst, healed and became calluses. The man taught him the ways of combat, of living outdoors and how to survive on his own. When they reached the borders of Tian-XI, he was handed a leather mask dyed black and told to wear it always. That he was only allowed to take it off once he had finally earned his redemption. The man then walked away, disappearing in the time he placed the mask on and looked up to thank him. He then entered the city, sold his belongings and bought local garb to fit in and chose a new name. Thus he was born anew, a man seeking redemption halfway around the world from his home.

I read the template and thought to myself, what would I come up with if stats don't matter, I could die at any moment and the story is the most important thing. And this is the result. Anyone placing bets on how long I can stay alive?
