is
Samurai
Rei Jin was born in the Northern Tribes and raised as an honorable Warrior of the Night Hunt. Barely before Jin was to become an adult - at the age of 15 - he traveled with a raiding party to Tian Xia, it was a gruesome battle, but ultimately the northern tribe fell to the Samurai. Rei Jin was taken in as a prisoner at first, questioned and ostracized for a time... Later he was apprenticed to a gunsmith, and honed in the Art of Bushido. He was also given basic lessons in the ways of the Samurai, this is what he became.
Rei Jin is a chef by hobby, and a budding linguist. Rei Jin enjoys studying cultures, languages and helping those he passes by. Rei Jin also has a deep fondness for animals and avoids hurting them.
After earning his freedom, Meiyo Rei Jin became a Ronin and wandered until he met a small group of Samurai following the Order of the Land and joined them. Jin is skilled with a bow, and trained in the art of improvised weapons, non-lethal damage and Iaijutsu strike, he is a Sword Saint, though he prefers not to draw his blade...
The group, unable to make much of a difference in Tian Xia with their current numbers have split up and traveled to all different lands to further train themselves and gather more members before they head back to their homeland to rebel against the Tyrannical leaders of Minkai. Jin has decided to stay in Tian Xia for a while before eventually returning to the Northern Tribes - this was now his home after all - Rei Jin has gone to the city of Hiyro, a thriving metropolis built at the joint of three kingdoms each vying for control... in an age of conflict...
Here.
Meiyo Rei Jin's story truly begins.
The Order of the Land:
There are some Samurai who dedicate themselves to the land and the people who inhabit the rural areas between urban centers. These Samurai often lead untrained militias of revolutionaries in backwoods towns, fighting against oppressive governments or the savage elements that threaten citizens in their daily lives. Self-reliance and the ability to make do with sparse resources are hallmarks of a Samurai who follows the order of the land.
OOC:
I am still new to the game, so I try to play characters as close to myself/my interests as much as possible for now just to help me get the hang of RP. I generally prefer to play males as I am a male, though I don't mind rping a female from time to time. My Character - Rei Jin - is an archer, a chef and a budding linguist. And yes, I will have him multiclass into Gunslinger a little later (assuming Gunslingers are allowed).
Also I don't like ERP, I try to stay away from it, I might flirt from time to time for fun, but nothing serious.
P.S.
Meiyo Rei Jin suffers from severe motion sickness - any form of travel other than walking causes him to get sick, if this ever happens during a combat scenario Jin will RP -negatives.
